The motif
The back is a round medallion of latticework with a leaf ornament at its centre, framed by volutes. The round seat sits at bar height, a curved ring serves as a footrest. The chair folds up.

Craftsmanship and finish
The medallion is bent as a separate ring and set into the back frame, the lattice stretched from wire. The frame is bent by hand from round iron, welded and dressed, the ornaments applied one by one. Finally the piece is primed and lacquered in several layers, the last layer taken back slightly at the edges so that the surface looks used.

Placement and effect
The bar chair belongs at the matching high table, at a kitchen island or at the counter of a restaurant. Because it folds, it stacks and can be stored dry over the winter.

Material and care
The furniture is made for outdoors and tolerates sun and rain. Over the winter it should be stored dry or covered, which noticeably extends the life of the lacquer. Small scratches can be touched up with a lacquer pen, stubborn dirt comes off with water and a soft brush.
