The motif
The back holds a wheel of spokes whose hub and rim are set with golden blossoms. Above it a curved arch with volutes and two ball finials closes the frame. The round seat is finely spoked, and the chair folds up.

Craftsmanship and finish
The spokes are set into the ring one by one, the blossoms gilded by hand. Over the green ground lies a thin glaze that gives the impression of iron weathered for years. The frame is bent by hand from round iron, welded and dressed, the ornaments applied one by one. Finally the piece is primed and lacquered in several layers, the last layer taken back slightly at the edges so that the surface looks used.

Placement and effect
The chair belongs at a round garden table, on a balcony or in catering where seating changes. Folded up it stands flat against the wall and so gets through the winter dry.

Material and care
The furniture is made for outdoors and tolerates sun and rain. Over the winter it should be stored dry or covered, which noticeably extends the life of the lacquer. Small scratches can be touched up with a lacquer pen, stubborn dirt comes off with water and a soft brush.
