The motif
Three children have settled on a fallen tree trunk: one climbs up the branch, one sits with the rod in hand, the third holds the line and laughs. At the end of the trunk stands a bucket full of fish from which the water runs.

Craftsmanship and casting
The group is produced in sections which are joined after casting and chased over the whole surface. Clothing and bark carry a light green-blue patina while skin and fish stay warm bronze, so that the figures detach clearly from the trunk. The sculpture is cast in solid bronze using the lost wax process, the technique that has been in use since antiquity. Every piece is chased and patinated individually by hand, and only then does the final colour appear.

Placement and effect
At 180 cm in both directions the group is a main motif, not an accessory: pond bank, pool edge, hotel garden or courtyard. Enough space should remain all around so that the scene reads from several sides.

Material and care
Bronze is weatherproof and may stand outdoors all year round, the surface develops its own grown patina over the years. Before the first frost the pump and the water line are drained and the basin is left dry. Because every piece is cast and patinated by hand, no two are identical.
