This chandelier by Casa Padrino is a piece for large rooms. Across seven tiers, densely spaced cut crystal prisms hang from a broad gold-coloured ring and form a cone that tapers towards the bottom. The uppermost wreath measures 112 cm in diameter.

The effect comes from the sheer mass of facets. Every prism is cut several times over, and because the tiers hang offset from one another, the ten light sources inside are refracted again and again. The result is not point light but a field of reflections that draws colour fringes across walls and ceiling.

At 56 kg this is a heavy piece. The ceiling fixing must be rated accordingly, ideally into a beam or a concrete slab. In return the chandelier hangs perfectly still and reads as massive from any distance.
