About the condition, so there are no surprises: this chair stood in our showroom and has visible stains on the seat as well as light marks on the back upholstery. The frame is solid and undamaged. We show the affected areas in the product photos rather than retouching them away, which is why the price sits well below that of a new piece.

The chair follows the classic baroque line: a hand-carved crest above the shield-shaped backrest, curved cabriole legs, and a continuous seam of brass-look studs separating upholstery and wood. The cream velvet keeps the whole thing light, so despite its 102 cm height the chair never looks heavy.

On its own it works as an occasional chair in a bedroom or hallway; in a set it becomes dining room seating. This piece comes from our showroom in Essen and is available only once.
