The bed as the centre of the room
In a large bedroom the bed decides everything else. The baroque beds by Casa Padrino are built for that: tall, sweeping headboards, hand-carved frames, king size and queen size – furniture that can carry a suite.
Headboard, height, effect
The headboard is the entrance: it continues the height of the room instead of cutting it off. That is why the boards are cut high and framed with carving, often upholstered and deep-buttoned.
What matters is the relation to the wall: a baroque bed needs a calm surface behind it. Wallpaper with a large repeat or a heavy border takes its effect away.
