A work of art for the suite

Some pieces of furniture are more than furnishings; they are a declaration of refined taste. This baroque coffee table by Casa Padrino is undoubtedly one of them. Made entirely of solid wood, it unites warm brown, luminous gold and cool silver accents. It would be as much at home in a presidential suite as in your private salon.

The medallion at the heart of the top

At the centre of the tabletop rests a round medallion of fine wood inlay. It acts like a seal that holds the entire composition together. The eye is drawn there quite naturally. Especially on a low table viewed from above, this marquetry unfolds its full effect.

Rays of precious veneer

Around the medallion, the veneer panels are laid in a radiating pattern. Like sunbeams they lead from the edge to the centre, creating a lively play of light and grain. Depending on the angle, the surface seems to shimmer gently. Work of this kind demands the utmost precision and the trained eye of a master cabinetmaker.

A setting of scrolling inlay

The top is finished with a wide border of scrolling marquetry. Supple lines wind around the surface, interrupted by small cartouches. This gives the composition a clear setting, much like the gilded frame of a painting. Inside and outside stand in perfect balance.

The strength of solid wood

The entire piece is made of solid wood; a glass cover was deliberately omitted. As a result, the inlay work remains unobstructed and can be admired directly. The wood lends the table weight, warmth and a pleasant feel. Running a hand across the surface, you sense the care with which it was made.

Born in an Italian workshop

Made in Italy, the table carries within it the legacy of a long furniture-making tradition. There, the art of marquetry is still cultivated with passion today. The superior craftsmanship shows in clean transitions and precisely placed ornaments. Every detail reveals experience, patience and a love of the material.

Cabriole legs in gold and silver

The table stands on curved cabriole legs reminiscent of the salons of past centuries. They are gilded and refined with silver accents that make the gold appear even more radiant. This interplay of two metallic tones is rare and utterly charming. In candlelight, a fine, festive glow emerges.

The carved shell as a signature

On the apron sits a sculpturally carved shell, surrounded by foliage and elegant volutes. It is the classic leitmotif of the baroque and gives the piece its unmistakable signature. The apron itself is also gilded and accented with silver. The table thus presents a rich, sculptural profile.

Low, calm, confident

Its rather low build makes the table the ideal partner for deep sofas and club chairs. It never imposes itself but orders the room with quiet authority. Its balanced, symmetrical form fits the centre of any seating arrangement. The view across the room stays free and open.

In the club room and hotel bar

In a wood-panelled club room or the lounge of a stylish hotel bar, the table becomes a silent host. A tray of cognac glasses or a chess set finds a worthy place on its precious surface. Conversations gain depth, evenings gain lustre. The table creates an atmosphere of exclusivity and comfort.

A salon to live in

In a private home, too, the table unfolds its stately presence. In the living room, the library or the reception room of a villa, it becomes an eye-catcher. The series also offers a sister piece with an inset glass top and a practical lower shelf. Together they give large rooms the unmistakable signature of Casa Padrino.
