Casa Padrino at the Bal de Noël 2024 in Monte Carlo

by Marvin Schertl - 31 Dec, 2024

Paris meets Monte Carlo: the Bal de Noël 2024

Monte Carlo, December 2024. The 19th edition of the Bal de Noël took place in the Salle Empire of the Hôtel de Paris, the charity gala held under the high patronage of HSH Princess Charlène of Monaco. Among the invited guests were Marvin Schertl, founder and artistic director of Casa Padrino, and Dr Sina Schertl.

The evening

Occasion: 19th Bal de Noël, December 2024
Venue: Salle Empire, Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo
Theme: "Paris - Monte Carlo"
Cuisine: Dominique Lory, awarded a Michelin star
Result: 269,000 euros for the Fondation Princesse Charlène

A homage to the French capital

The theme "Paris - Monte Carlo" turned the evening into a homage to the French capital. Cabaret numbers, can-can and a musical journey through the classics of Édith Piaf set the tone without the hall ever tipping into fancy dress: the Salle Empire of the Hôtel de Paris is a room that can carry staging because it is one already, with gilding, chandeliers and nineteenth-century wall paintings.

The menu was created by Dominique Lory, whose cuisine holds a Michelin star.

269,000 euros in one evening

The centrepiece of the evening was an auction conducted by Sotheby's. Thanks to the generosity of the guests, 269,000 euros were raised for the Fondation Princesse Charlène de Monaco. The foundation works worldwide to prevent drowning, teaches children to swim and conveys values through sport.

"Princess Charlène radiates not only elegance but also an impressive warmth. It was a pleasure to be part of this event and to learn more about the work of the foundation."

Why Casa Padrino attends such evenings

Monaco and the adjoining Côte d'Azur are among the core markets of the house. Residences, yachts, grand hotels and boutiques between Saint-Tropez and the Italian border are among the spaces Casa Padrino works for, often as a complete furnishing from the first design to installation. Production is largely by hand: furniture in Italy, ceramics by Spanish artisans, brass in Indian workshops, together with solid marble, gold leaf and hand upholstery.

Commissions in this segment are not won through advertising but through trust and personal recommendation. An evening like this one is therefore work and instruction at the same time.

A series that continued

A year later Marvin and Dr Sina Schertl returned for the 20th Bal de Noël. In between came the Women of Monaco Awards, the Vienna Opera Ball and the 70th Bal de la Rose in Monte Carlo.
