Women of Monaco Awards 2025 at the Yacht Club de Monaco
Monaco, March 2025. On 12 March 2025 more than 70 women gathered at the Yacht Club de Monaco for the fifth edition of the Women of Monaco Awards. The awards honour women who set standards in business, sport, art, fashion and philanthropy. Dr Sina Schertl, who runs Casa Padrino together with her husband Marvin Schertl, attended as a guest of honour.

A network, not a reception
The Women of Monaco Club was founded in March 2023 by Sandrine Knoell and is an English-language network for women connected to the Principality through residence, profession, education, philanthropy or the arts. The annual lunch with its award ceremony is its high point, organised by Five Stars Events. Awards are given in eight categories, from sport and fashion to philanthropy and the arts.
Among the guests of honour were Princess Caroline of Hanover as well as Princess Camilla of Bourbon with her daughter Princess Maria Carolina. The ceremony was held under the patronage of HSH Princess Stéphanie, and the proceeds of the day went to the Fondation Princesse Grace.

Craftsmanship on the programme
The day combined awards with design: a fashion show by designer Violante Nessi, the jewellery service of designer Sarah Ho and culinary creations by the artist Agneta Livijn. It is precisely the mixture in which Casa Padrino moves as well: people who make things with their hands, and an audience that recognises the difference between a series and a one-off piece.
Why this matters for Casa Padrino
Monaco and the adjoining Côte d'Azur are among the core markets of the house. Residences, yachts, grand hotels and boutiques between Saint-Tropez and the Italian border are among the spaces Casa Padrino works for, frequently as a complete furnishing from design to installation. Production is largely by hand: furniture in Italy, ceramics by Spanish artisans, brass in Indian workshops, together with solid marble, gold leaf and hand upholstery.
That the co-managing director of the house belongs to this circle has a practical reason: on this coast, decisions about furnishing large residences are rarely taken over the telephone, but among people who know one another.
